The new Kuhnke FIO relay module from Kendrion features 8 relays with separate contacts. These relay contacts are available for switching devices with operating voltages of up to 230 V AC. Thanks to its floating contacts the relay output module is perfectly suited for the use in the building automation and control technology.
The Kuhnke FIO bus terminal is mounted on a DIN rail and consists of an EtherCAT® coupler or a CODESYS PLC as a head and a larger number of electronic terminals or expansion modules. Communication without time delays is achieved by means of wireless EtherCAT connections between individual terminals.
The new relay module complements the wide range of digital, analog, functional and safety terminal blocks. Individual relays are separately fed with a centrally supplied 24 V operating voltage, which allows integrating them into an emergency stop circuit. Up to 5 amps resistive or 2 amps inductive load are switchable. The operating state of the EtherCAT terminals as well as each of the relays is indicated by means of LEDs. This supports fast and easy on-site diagnosis during implementation and continuous operation of the respective machine or system.
